If your like me, you have had your Kindle for quite some time. I have actually grown used to most of it’s idiosyncrasies and still love the fact I have one. Unless you really need the wireless portion you just leave it off, that let’s you use the Kindle for a week of reading for an hour or two a day. Need to buy something, fire up the wireless, otherwise just leave it off. The thing is still a joy to read despite so many early people complaining about how to hold the thing. I must be unique in that I just use my hands and cruise right on through the book, but the roar of criticism seems o have died down.
Do you know you have hit the big time when your product is available on ebay for twice the price it sold for originally? I know it is no sure sign of success for the product but it is a sure sign of greed and seeing how many of them are for sale leads me to think that a lot of people are keeping their kindles when they receive them. We’re only half a month into the shipping of the kindles but I still had expected them to show up in force much sooner.
Perhaps the fact the device has eluded really being pinned down yet as to what the buyer profile looks like is very telling. They either aren’t shipping very many at all, or there isn’t a stereotypical buyer established yet. What kind of buyer are you?
