Amazon has reduced the price on its second generation Kindle (called Kindle 2 by most folks) to $299. That’s $60 less than the initial price point.

If you’ve been holding out on buying the Kindle, for once, waiting just might have paid off. But it you’re like me, I’d see it as an extra $60 to spend on a nice Kindle cover and some books!
